Gary Baldwin is rated as the UK’s top Hammond organist and has played with/alongside world famous Hammond virtuosos Jimmy Smith and Jimmy McGriff.
Gospel soul legend Doris Troy said of Gary “..is rated alongside Billy Preston…” and London’s Time Out magazine as “…the British Master of the Hammond Organ..”.
Amongst the many artistes he has performed with are Georgie Fame, Joey De Franscesco, Ronnie Cuba, Fats Domino, John McLaughlin, Kiki Dee, PP Arnold, Doris Troy, Clare Martin, Benny Green, Jim Mullen, Tam White, Tommy Chase, Clark Tracey, Alan Barnes, Mighty Flea Connors, Bobby Cochran, Mike Berry, Frankie Ford, Albert Lee, Big Jim Sullivan, Shuggie Otis, Marti Pello and Joss Stone.
His tours have led him across Europe, Scandinavia and the UK performing at many of the top festival venues and was a featured soloist with The Echoes of Ellington Jazz Orchestra
Studio work includes the acclaimed “Portishead” and “Morcheeba” albums and many blues recordings including Eddie Martin.
Recent Performances include London`s “Ronnie Scott’s” Club With “Ronnie Cuber’s Salsa bop”, “Gary`US`Bonds” and “Joss Stone”. Radio broadcasts include the BBC’s Paul Jones’ Blues Show, Jazz Parade with the Echoes of Ellington, and Jazz FM with Jools Holland plus more. Gary is also a member of the Ronnie Scott all stars.
